The Nathan Sommers Jacobs Associates Volunteer Initiative

Nathan Sommers Jacobs’s associates recently launched a Volunteer Initiative, a program designed to encourage group participation in community outreach projects. While many associates of the firm regularly volunteer for and participate in charitable and non-profit causes, the Volunteer Initiative enables the firm’s associates to collaborate and work in the community as a team.  The Volunteer Initiative intends to participate in one community event per quarter, working with a variety of organizations.

“By consolidating our efforts in numerous volunteer projects such as adopting a family for the holidays and working with Habitat for Humanity, we have increased participation in these events and  enhanced the common sense of purpose at Nathan Sommers Jacobs,” said Attorney Liat Avivi. “The initiative promotes the firm’s commitment to volunteerism, community leadership and camaraderie, and helps us apply our values to the improvement of quality of life in the community.”

NSJ associates participated in the Houston Bar Association’s 8K Law Week Fun Run on March 24, 2012. The event is in its 27th year and benefits THE CENTER, which serves adults with developmental disabilities in the greater Houston area.
